Cutsews

'Cutsew' is the Japanese brands' term for their more casual, stretch-fabric garments.
These are obviously easier to wear (and cheaper...) than a structured, lacy blouse, but are usually just as decorative.
Also, brand cutsews tend to fit a larger range of sizes than their standard items, and are also easier to wash.
The term originates in the method used to make up this type of garment: a 'cut and sew', in-one process done on an overlocking machine.
Most Lolita brands concentrate on t-shirts, easy-wear tops and pullovers for their cutsew range, but also
include simple skirts, dresses and coats.

StockingShock cutsews are modeled after these examples.
They are made from soft, stretch cotton jersey and provide an easy-wear option for when you want a less dressy outfit.
However, a cutsew can be just as fancy if you wear it with an elaborate skirt and accessories.
This range also includes outerwear such as cardigans and hoodies.

We don't see them just as 'the cheaper option'- we like them for giving everyday outfits
a touch of decoration, or for when you want to lounge around in something comfy. Also, as most StockingShock items besides cutsews are
machine-washable and available with individual sizing- something not generally possible with the original brands- these items
are offered as a standard addition to your Lolita wardrobe.
