Etoile Dress

Elaborate lacey gown based on 18th century court dresses.
Fitted bodice with square neckline, edged with ruffled Valenciennes and Cluny lace, with decorative lacing and three detatchable bow pins. Over a wide, gathered underskirt with frilled hem, a ruched overskirt trimmed with narrow lace gives the effect of side panniers. The centre of the skirt has rich guipure lace trim and a pleated ruffle. Sleeves are edged with ruffled Valenciennes trim and a frill of wide Cluny lace.
