Work Experience: 5-8+years' experience of sewing
for money. Not officially trained, but spent those years
and longer perfecting my pattern-drafting and general
clothes-making. I was also employed to do alterations,
which was useful for picking up techniques.
That doesn't make sense...?!. It's 8+ years of work,
but for about 3 of those I wasn't working for the usual
going rate, as a sort of practice run.
Specialisations: Originally corsetry; lately, lolita
clothing.
Birthday: 9th July, 1982 vintage.
Blood Type: Don't Know+. (Same as my dad, I'm
told, but he doesn't know either.)
Education: Usual British school-to-A-levels, followed by art tech. and university
(Illustration degree, which I enjoyed very much). Too much time spent on the internet
resulting
in extreme particularity about W3 standards.
Pastimes: Dressing up, too much dressing up, fabric collecting, computer-based work and play, watching odd films,
reading, writing, illustration, idle drawing, examining old things, performing, cooking, 'research', looking after my
guinea pigs, and drinking tea.
Preferred Lolita: Brandwise- Innocent World,
Angelic Pretty when they are not being too fluffy,
Baby's original fabric designs, Emily Temple Cute for casuals, and the elegance of
Victorian Maiden and Mary Magdalene. Anything Alice themed (but not Disney). All my StockingShock
wearables.
Unusual shapes, school-
uniform styles, intriguing patterns, corset-lacing,
hem-prints,
gorgeous lace.
Unpreferred Lolita: Manky cheap lace;
mass-produced punk styles; unimaginative co-ordinates;
Marble/Visible; boring Moitie; sweatshop knockoffs; overly pink and frilly toilet-roll-dolly clothes.
